This year, we are celebrating 150 years since the opening of the Cathedral building. To celebrate this wonderful milestone, we will have a lunch on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. You are most welcome to attend, and there is no need to RSVP. The lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
If you know people who have celebrated significant events at St Peter’s Cathedral, such as baptisms and weddings (or even funerals for loved ones), please come along.
There will be an opportunity to tour the Cathedral, enjoy lunch together, and learn some of the history of the building and its people.
We are so grateful for the blessing of this tremendous building; Jesus has been calling people to put their trust in him the whole time the building has stood (and for centuries before that). Within the walls of the Cathedral, people have served their Lord Jesus and learned to worship his majesty. Outside its walls, they have faithfully served and loved the people around them.
This is the legacy we are celebrating this year.
On Sunday, June 1st 2025, Thanksgiving services were held across the three regular Sunday services. Bishop Rod Chiswell encouraged us to hold fast to the good news of Jesus and to keep trusting him as others have done before us. If you would like to join us, please come to our Saturday celebration lunch on June 7th, or join us for any of our regular services: for more information on our regular services, visit https://www.stpetersarmidale.org.au/services/..
